Project Title: Dream Art Of Maryland Artists 2008 – 2009 (DAOMA)
Project Description: DAOMA will be a self-published, black and white journal of dream art created by Maryland artists, with their commentary on their art. By dream art is meant art whose inspiration or source is in a dream or dreams which the artist themselves experienced. The commentary will be at their discretion – not required – but our intent is to help make the art more accessible to the viewer, and we feel this may help.
Project Timeline: Submissions are being solicited now through July 31st, 2009. The projected publication date is January 15th, 2010.
Submission guidelines:
1. The art in question must have been created between Jan. 1, 2008 and July 1 2009.
2. The dream source of the art can be from anytime throughout your life, including 2009, up to July 1st, 2009.
3. The art must be captured in digital form on CD or DVD in a minimum of 300 dpi, and must be saved as a JPEG file.
4. If the art file is not VERY large it may be submitted as an email attachment, and sent to us, as long as the art is also captured on CD or DVD.
5. The submission deadline of July 31st 2009 is for BOTH art and commentary.
6. The publication will be printed in BLACK and WHITE, so, though color work may be submitted, please select pieces that will replicate well in black and white.
