Re: How long have you been a Baltimoron?? Remember any of these.....
Sun, October 21, 2007 - 6:11 AMhaha! I remember nearly all of these! Shhhhhh........ don't tell my age!
Gwynn Oak Park brings back memories, so does Rocky Point beach.
I remember when the Carney area was considered to be "out in the country" LOL especially near Cub Hill. Oh gosh, I used to work at the horse stables at Cub Hill.
All the neighborhood kids went to the Orchard Pool to swim. My family couldn't afford it, though, so of course we stuck a garden hose over the clothesline pole and ran under it. Remember making tents out in the backyard?

Re: How long have you been a Baltimoron?? Remember any of these.....
Sat, March 8, 2008 - 7:53 PMAhhh... fond memories. Thanks for stirring up my memories, Mike! I remember most of these things too. I can also remember ice skating at Patterson Park arena and Skate Land in Pasadena, and the community pool on 10th street- they were my fav. hangouts! I also remember when I was real young a horse drawn wagon/cart that sold vegatables/fruit up and down the steets of Brooklyn. I remember the old Montgomery Wards building - I remember getting lost in there and I wondered up the elevator and ended up lost from Mom - I was scared to death! It was a huge building! I remember taking the MTA buses all throughout town - I don't miss that though - lots of waiting in all kinds of weather. My most fav. memories are when we would hook school and hang out at the Harbor. I was one of the lucky ones, I went to Southern Senior High and it was only two blocks away from the harbor! I wonder if the kids that attend there now also get "Spring Fever" and take the trip over and down federal hill to the most awsome Harbor in the world!
